Employment Tribunal

Employment Tribunal

An Employment Tribunal make decisions about employment disputes between an employee and employer that have not managed to be resolved through other avenues of dispute resolution. Tribunal claims are frequently heard around issues such as:

  • Unfair dismissal
  • Redundancy
  • Discrimination

The Tribunal is fully independent, and if a Tribunal’s decision goes against an employer they can be made to pay compensation or re-instate the claimant.

If a claim has been made by an ex-employee against you, notification will come from the Tribunal who will send a letter (known as a response pack or an ET3 and you will have 28 to submit that response). At vivoHR we can guide you on preparing the response and help prepare with presentation of the case at the tribunal hearing.
