Getting it wrong can be costly as the HMRC vow to clamp down on internships that should be paid with 9 British Companies being charged almost £193,000 in fines and back dated payments in June this year.  These included Arcadia & Harrods!

So with the college summer holidays upon us and graduates flooding the job market looking for opportunities to gain experience, if you are considering taking on an intern, ensure you know what the real costs might be before you go any further.
