What employee benefits are you offering – pension, health care, cycle to work scheme…. human egg freezing?!

It was reported in the Guardian yesterday that Apple and Facebook are offering this “perk” to US based employees from January 2015.

Apparently this is part of a bid to promote diversity by encouraging more women into jobs in the male dominated silicon valley. Cynics are seeing it more as a move by these companies to encourage women to delay having children in favour of their careers.

So what’s your view? Is this a move towards offering greater choice and control over career and motherhood? Or will women who choose to take maternity leave at an earlier age be frowned upon?
