Setting your colleagues on fire, touching a colleague’s testicles, putting your colleague in a wheelie bin, landing your radio controlled helicopter on your colleague’s turban, doing a “moonie” in work – when practical jokes go bad!
So today was April Fools day – what “hilarious” pranks went on in your workplace?!
Personnel Today published a list of some rather alarming cases where, albeit not necessarily April Fools Day jokes, workplace high jinks got a few employees & businesses into a spot of trouble!
Never one to want to be accused of being a kill joy, it is true nonetheless that we, and HR advisors more generally, will often have cause to remind employers about the culture of the business and ensuring that “a bit of fun” doesn’t spill over into harassment, bullying or create an unsafe work environment.
