174 female ex-employees have finally won their lengthy Equal Pay battle against Birmingham City Council…although they are yet to see any money, as having won the case they now need to pursue their claims for actual payment. Their potential payout totals around £2million which must be a worying figure for the council who have announced a need to make £600million in cuts by 2017. I wonder how much the Council’s legal bill & management time costs have amounted to – I suspect they may have been better served reaching an agreement with their employees….
