Reasons for Dismissal 1…2…3

So what are the most common reasons for disciplinary proceedings in the workplace? Research by Expert HR has the answers.

Unsurprisingly (to us at least) the most common reasons for a disciplinary hearing were matters of “general misconduct” and poor performance, poor timekeeping & unauthorised absence.

Generally speaking, it is often the smaller problems that may be occurring persistently that lead to an employer deciding that they need to implement disciplinary proceedings.  Ultimately if things don’t improve this can lead to dismissal of an employee.

How do you make the decision in your business about when “enough is enough” and that it is time to make matters more formal and schedule a disciplinary hearing?
