The Apprentice Stella English lost her tribunal claim against Alan Sugar last week.

The judge is noted as having commented that the case should never have been brought to a hearing.

This seems like a resounding vote for common sense prevailing – a case without merit was lost.

It is a shame however that it will still have cost money, not just to Alan Sugar in defending the claim but to the national coffers that provide the tribunal service.

On a brighter note, we hope that high profile cases like this give employers some confidence that, in many cases, if you have done nothing wrong you have nothing to fear at tribunal.
