YOUR EMAIL WILL BE DELETED!
Just caught up with this in the news today. The BBC report on Daimler’s approach to managing email while you are on holiday – it gets deleted! What a fantastic idea. Not one I think we’re brave enough to try at vivoHR yet though!!
Daimler appear to be making all sorts of great efforts to restore work life balance for their employees and apparently Volkswagen have taken similar initiatives.
Of course the company motivation may be to have healthier more productive employees who can work harder & achieve more during the work day but we’re all in agreement with that if it means people get to switch off outside of working hours.
What’s that expression? ….work hard play hard!
