Do you employ staff on a zero hours basis? Are you clear on their employment status? Have you explicitly set out the T&Cs under which they work for you?
We maintain our view that zero hours contracts have a valid place in the work place to allow flexibility on both the employer and employee’s side of the fence. We also agree with the CIPD findings that there needs to be clearer guidance / regulations about their use to prevent exploitation.
