We’ve been reading legal updates today about convictions under The Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act 2008 and whilst it would appear that there is still confusion about when this Act applies over the Health & Safety at Work Act it is clear that the key message is that all businesses need to take Health & Safety and their Duty of Care to employees seriously, both for the welfare of those employees and to protect against costly legal action for failure to do so.
